ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Gabrielle Swindlehurst

Having studied literature and journalism, Gabrielle spent her early years on SL avidly roleplaying and admining on combat sims. When her urge to kick things faltered, she started posting the pictures she was taking on flickr. Encouraged by her contacts, she really started enjoying photographing, building and texturing. She has been involved in a few decorating projects as well as some exhibitions. She likes working on SL because they make it easy to control what she wants to show. When in RL can you move a wall to improve a composition? She likes the editing process. Starting from an imperfect image and improving it to her liking. Her "Virtual Americana" exhibition is based on images taken on sims representing SL's largest population.

William Weaver

In the relatively short period of time that William Weaver (paperwork Resident) joins SL, he became a passionate resident. Initially attracted by the possibilities of education, he explored RP, image- and video-making to the extend. He produces photos and videos for Modavia Fashion. And just aside he wrote his own customized controls for the viewer, named Phototools. Recently he discovered building and is excited by the great possibilities that Linden Lab provides their users. For this exhibition, William Weaver not only contributed pictures and videos; he built his own gallery for the works. After one month, he decided to update the build with pictures never seen on his Flickr before.

Fiona Leitner

... is RL a graphic designer from Rotterdam. She creates digital images in Second Life since November 2009. Fiona likes to cook up images in an intuitive way, using Photoshop as her main cooking equipment and effects and plugins as her spices. After having exhibited virtually she is now presenting her work in print. Therefore she will be less releasing and exhibiting in SL and Art India Gallery is happy to present “Best of Eyecandy”, a selection of Fiona Leitner's best works combined with with her most recent pieces including the series "Nightlife".
